"Adventure, with all its requisite danger and wildness, is a deeply spiritual longing written into the soul of man. The masculine heart needs a place where nothing is prescripted, where the outcome is uncertain, where the path is untamed." – John Eldredge

"The spiritual life is not a suburban lifestyle. It is not neatly paved and free of potholes; it is more like a winding mountain trail — rugged, unpredictable, and breathtaking." – Howard Macy

An invitation to the wild

We were made for more than safe sidewalks and predictable days. The trail God carved for us is marked by blazes on weathered trees, by sunsets that set the horizon on fire, and by the sound of rivers singing in the night. It’s a life where sawdust clings to our
boots, a woodstove warms our bones, and the smell of a well-cooked meal welcomes us like a long-lost friend. It’s a life of fathering with courage, of hospitality that opens the door wide, of walking with God through forests and over mountain passes.
Not every one of us loves to fish or hunt — but every one of us has an Adventure. It must be discovered and walked for us to truly be alive. And once found, it must be pursued with all the wild freedom of a heart set loose.

The Call

This is what it means to Get Our Wild Back — to live Wild, Free, and Fully Alive. The Ancient Path isn’t a single trail, but many. Each one leads deeper into God’s heart and further into the person He created us to be.

Here, the crackle of the fire is our evening prayer. The mountains become our mentors. The rivers wash away the noise of the world. And along the way, we share stories, sharpen one another like steel on steel, and taste the kind of life that can never be
mass-produced.

The paths are before us. The only question is: which one will we walk first?
